What You Need Before You Start - Tyre Size and Locking Wheel Nuts
The Tyre Size
One of the first things you need to know before you can order replacement tyres is your tyre size. Some vehicles have a different tyre size on the front to the tyre size on the back so it is always a good idea to check a front and a back wheel. Without any doubt, there is no guaranteed way of knowing what size tyres are on your car without physically looking at the tyre itself. Looking in your handbook or on certain websites that claim to be able to tell you your tyre size is not an accurate way of finding your tyre size.
If you guess your tyre size or take the information from a handbook, website or identical car and we arrive with the wrong tyres as a result, then a call out charge may be applicable to cover our time and costs.
Locking Wheel Nuts / Bolts
Many of today's cars, especially those with alloy wheels, come with security bolts on the wheels often referred to as locking wheel nuts/bolts. The job of this device is to prevent a cars wheels from being stolen. As a result, without the adapter, we can not remove your wheels to replace your tyres. It is easy to tell if your vehicle have security bolts fitted as one of the wheel nuts or studs will be different to the rest.
Please make sure that the security bolt adapter (the bit used to remove the security bolts) is available when we arrive to fit you tyres. This adaptor is often located in the glove box or boot of your vehicle.
If we arrive to fit your tyres and are unable to do so because of a missing security bolt adapter then a call out charge may be applicable to cover our time and costs

Event Mobile Tyres do not request payment before we arrive to replace your tyres
When you book online you will receive an email confirming receipt of your booking. One of our team will check the details of your booking before making a final confirmation. Bookings made outside of our normal Opening Hours will be processed at the start of the next working day.
What To Do If Your Circumstances Change Once You Have Booked
We understand that circumstances do change and even the best planning does not cater for all eventualities. If for whatever reason the date or time you have booked becomes a problem then we ask that you let us know as soon as possible. This will allow us to assign your tyre replacement booking to another customer in the case that we have to reschedule you for another day. The best way to do this is by phone during normal Opening Hours or through the Contact Us page when we are closed.
The Payment Process
Payment is taken at the time of fitting. We accept all major Debit or Credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo. We do not accept American Express or Cheques under any circumstances. We will accept cash if you are unable to pay by Debit or Credit card although this is not our prefered method of payment.
What Happens On The Day Of Fitting
On the day, you will receive a call from your appointed technician advising you of an expected time of arrival to replace your tyres. This will usually happen by around 10:30am. If requested at the time of booking you will also get a call from the technician when he is on route to you or at a company reception etc.
If you have booked a specific afternoon or timed appointment it may not always be possible to advise an expected time of arrival by 10:30. In these cases the technician will call when he knows an accurate time of arrival or when he is on route to you.
When We Arrive To Carry Out The Tyre Replacement
Our state of the art Mobile Tyre Fitting vehicles provide all the power, air, jacks and any other equipment we need to replace your tyres safely and quickly. The technician will advise you on arrival if you need to move the vehicle to a safer location if it is parked on a steep hill or main road etc.
When we lift your wheels off the floor, where possible, we use "Air Jacks". We use these specific jacks for a number of reasons, one of which is to protect the surface below such as your driveway. These "Air Jacks" have a flat base which distributes the weight when used to lift your car. As the weight is distributed evenly you do not get cracked flags or impressions left in tarmac on hot days.
You are more than welcome to observe the technician as your tyres are replaced, ask any questions that you may have or you can simply carry on with what you were doing and the technician will inform you when the work is completed. At this point the technician will request payment. Once complete the tyre technician will ask you to sign the paperwork and will leave a copy with you.
Once We Leave
Once you have had your tyres replaced and we have driven away it does not end there. Your new tyres are covered by a 12 month manufacturers defect guarantee. This guarantee does not cover punctures, accidental damage or any other damage that is not a defect in the tyres construction. The best thing to do if you have any problems at all with your tyres or any of the work we have done for you is to Contact Us to discuss your issues.
