2010 looks to be a big year for the tyre manufacturers with the new offerings from Michelin Tyres and Continental Tyres both available from January 1st. Michelin’s Pilot Sport 3 and Continental’s Sport Contact 5 are built on years of success from the Michelin Pilot range and the Continental Sport Contact range.
Both Michelin and Continental are targeting areas such as shorter stopping distances, improved handling and a reduction in aquaplaning. Both tyre manufacturers also have homologations (approvals) from many manufacturers for original equipment fitments.
With both the Pilot Sport 3 and the Sport Contact 5 promising so much it will be interesting to see how they both perform in 2010.
