Potholes have appeared all across the UK road network causing yet more misery for drivers as tyre after tyre is damaged. Potholes are causing impact damaged to tyres resulting in failure of the tyres internal construction. Potholes have always been a problem on UK roads but the severe winter weather of the last month appears to have increased the number sharply as many more drivers are reporting hitting potholes and damaging their tyres.
Event Tyres urge drivers to inspect their tyres before each journey and look for signs such as a bulge or an “egg” on the sidewall as an impact damaged tyre may not only remain inflated but the signs of impact damage may not be immediately visible. Light impact damage can gradually get worse as the vehicle is used.
