Recession Driving Tyres To the Limit

Tyres may not be top of everyone’s shopping list but a recent survey by Event Mobile Tyres suggests drivers may be pushing their tyres a little bit too far. A survey of 500 tyre casings removed during October showed that over 19% (95) of them were below the legal limit – 5% (25) of which had the internal cords of the tyre exposed. Driving on worn or damaged tyres is dangerous for the driver, their passengers and other road users.With a possible £2500 fine and 3 points for every illegal tyre maybe getting that extra few miles may be more costly than you think.
